They aren't cheap. Beyond that there is no downside.

My TC29 was loud when cold as well. If I used the block heater it would be a lot less noticeable. I think TC29da came with block heaters. I put mine on a remote switch, made life easier. Just remember to unplug it

Block heaters are effective cold start aids. They do nothing to heat hydraulic oil or quiet cold hydraulic oil noise.

Yes, at cold temps you will hear hydraulic noise. WAY back when, NH had 2 hydraulic fluids, the standard and a thinner cold weather fluid. I always ran the standard and never had a problem.

That's funny Rick, I never saw you over when I was plowing my driveway. You should have said hi or at least helped out.
I get that the block heater only heats the engine oil but the heater definitely helps the tractor heat up quicker. The tractor would whine a lot less. Maybe on a larger tractor or at lower temperatures (I rarely see below 10 to 15) the block heater would make no difference with hydraulic function.

Today, Tried the wiggle, slow turn, and just holding in GP position.
NADA...
So I tested ignition switch, no continuity from power to GP.
Sprayed penetrating oil in ign switch and cycled many times to loosen up? and finally got continuity. Strange but true.
I have a bank or 3 of the same relay, so I switched them several times to see if relay was bad. Nada. So I guess that leaves me the timer?

Yes, I have a screenshot of that attachment you sent. Thanks. No jumper wires, have to fabricate one. Hoping it warms up some today.
Seems weird that glow plug light comes on while cranking when there is a spot on ignition switch that SHOULD turn it on but doesn't. Would a low amp battery charger work as a power source?
