Bruce, I think it's mechanical on the TC29D.

Thank you for the correction. The Operator's Manual states that on the HST model the PTO type is Transmission Single Clutch. On the geared model the PTO is described as Live, Dual Clutch.

Thanks. I got about 10 minutes of seat time before my son decided that he could probably do a better job than I was doing. I let him have a turn and now he thinks it is his. As I mentioned in the NH section, it looks as though his time playing video games was not a total waste - it seems to have cultivated some good backhoe skills.
