TC25D pto light on

On our new TC25D Boomer, the pto light remained on even though the pto wasn't engaged. It's only got 20 hours, so it seemed strange to have such a problem at this stage. Nothing odd on the job we were doing (light mowing), but the tractor won't start if it thinks the pto is engaged. Wondered if there's a work around to at least get the tractor started so we can get it back in the barn. Thanks for any ideas. We're loving this Boomer series and hope to figure this out painlessly.

I had the same problem. There is a wire going to the PTO shifter from the transmision(?) right by the rear axle that is probably disconnected. Just plug them back together. This plug does not connect very tight (minor design flaw) & it has happen to me twice. The first time my dealer came out on Saturday to find it for me (at no charge - the dealer DOES make a huge difference). I'm going to tape or attach this up out of the way some how. I'm in the brush with the tractor alot. I hope this helps.

Thanks for this post fellas.I would imagine my new tc21 has the same wire.What I would do to hold it together is 1.Use a small piece of solid copper wire(say like phone wire) twisted around each conector and then pulled tight and twisted snugly.Then wrap in electeical tape or slide a piece of heat shrink on before tying it up.The only problem I see with this is will something pull the wire apart if the conector doesn't give?Or can the wire be tyed up out of harms way as well?
