tc 33 trying to split

I have a New holland tc 33 d tractor that i'm trying to split. I can get it apart about 1/4 inch then it stops. It moves freely that 1/4 inch but no more. I have to replace the hydrostate. That is what the dealer told me that was wrong with it. It was leaking over 2 gallons of fluid just to mow 1 ace. I have all the bolts out and have disconnected all pipes and hoses. Wondering if I have missed something. I'm spliting it under the stering wheel in front of the inspection cover.

I put a pry bar between the bell housing and engine on each side of my massey to lightly pry it apart with the front end supported by a rolling floor jack. There was a seal on the clutch drive shaft that the tranny main shaft sleeved that was kind of a tight fit. just had to pop it out.
