Tach and hours odometer inop

I have a 2005 DK35. The tachometer and hours meter stopped operating. Visual inspection shows nothing loose. I am Looking for some advice as to what I should be looking for. Interested in any ideas or experience.

Not completely sure how its being driven, but both could be operated by a magnetic pickup... if so, it would most likely be screwed into the rear housing of the engine... IF it uses this type of setup, simply unscrew it, clean the debris off the end, screw it back in until it stops, then back it out approx. 3/4 turn and tighten it down...
But, I am not familiar with Kioti, so it may not use this setup...

Check you tach cable. I'm betting it broke.
The older style DK 35 used a cable for the tach/hourmeter.
