ta250 quick steering

i have a ta250 with fourwheel drive.when you put it into four wheel then turn the steering wheel hard either direction and then push the big green button below the four wheel shift lever it puts the front wheels into a higher gear and pulls the tractor around sharp and quick. it also lights up on the dash idiot lights with a picture of a tractor turned sharp.this is neat but i can see it being hard on the front drive. what do you .think

I have aTA201 with the same option. I hate to admit I have had the tractor for several years and just recently figured out how it works. I like it. It usually does less damage to my grass than using the rear brakes. I only use it when on wet grass or mud. I also figure it can't be good on it when on solid ground.
