Oil & Fuel synthetic oil ?

i have to change the oil on my ck20hst. has anyone used a synthetic or do you just stick with the normal blends ?

also, any thoughts on a particular weight for colder climates? my machine sits outside in new hampshire and we have spells of below zero temps....

When I owned my CK20, I put in RedLine 15w-40 when I did the first oil change. Followed the same suit with my CK30 that I now own.

Lots of msgs here about synthetic vs. "dino" oil. I think most everyone agrees synthetic is better, especially after a break in period with normal oil.

I would think of Shell Rotella 5-40 synthetic if I were you.

Funny some forum member said recently that oils are like religion, you don't know if you chose the right one until it's too late!!
