synchromesh transmission?

How does this transmission work? Do you not have to stop to shift through the 4 gears? I assume you do have to stop to shift ranges. Again I assume you do have to stop (or nearly stop) to change direction.

Does anyone know the ground speed of the various ranges in this transmission for the 4530?

You can shift through the 4-speed just like a car, but you have to stop for the range gears and should stop to change directions, but it will slip in to reverse while still rolling forward. It's an easy to use transmission.
