Sync Shuttle operation on 5000 series?

Could some explain to me when you have gear synchronization ? Can you change from one forward gear to another without stopping? For loader operation, can you go from forward to reverse w/o stopping completely?

My 5210 has Sync Shuttle. You can shift gears without stopping. You must stop to shift ranges. Not sure if you have to totally stop to change directions but I usually do. When using the loader I have never had any gear grinding and I am sure that I might not always be completly stopped.

The gears are synchronized, so you can shift to 1-2-3 but you cannot shift from A-B-C without stopping. For loader operation its kind of a pain, you have to slow down to a slow enough speed until you can change or it will feel kind of weird, If your real careful you'll be fine with it. But you can always go with a PowrReverser Transmission.

A sync shuttle is designed to shift on the move without stopping. That's what syncronizers were designed for to line up the gears while in motion. I shift my Orange tractor with sync shuttle on the move from fwd to rev(vice-verse) while loading/unloading rd bales.
