just went to walmart and found syn. oil for 2.97 @ qt. ,seems that would be great for the hyd. you would never guess the mfg. (pennzoil) /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

That certainly looks like a good price. I ordered Amsoil for my Deutz Diesel at about $20 per gallon. Since the PT holds 20 gal in the hydraulic system and it still looks clean at 150 hours, I haven't been able to talk myself into changing to synthetic.

Yeah, that sounds like a good price. I was thinking of switching to Mobil1, but at over $3.00 a quart, not yet(only 92 hours).

That's a good price if it's fully synthetic...but there are lots of "blends" now on the shelf...
A while back Mobil 1 sued another top brand because the other brand claimed fully synthetic while they were using "dino" based compounds...
Not sure when that first 10 gallon change will happen for me(7hrs)...but when it does it will be synthetic for cold weather flowability,high temp stability, more shear stable than dino oils.
