I have always run Stihl Chainsaws and have had nothing but good luck with them. Running a farm I am no professional but at certain times of the year we use them hard. We process 40 to 50 cords of firewood along with saw logs we use around the farm, fence posts, ect. Lately my dealer seams more interested in selling snowmobiles than saws, so I brought one of my stihl's to a saw shop that sells Huskies. During my convesation with the mechanic-owner-dealer I brought up the issue that I was not happy with my service at the other shop but I was in the market for a new large saw. He told me if I wanted to buy the saw down the road he would still service it if I wanted a Stihl. Long story longer I came home with a Husky 372XP today. Run it for a couple of hours this afternoon and seams nice enough. I figured if he was willing to give me that kind of service on someone elses saw, why not give him the business. I still have a funny feeling about the whole situation. I am looking for some of your opinions.
Thanks
