Are you going to use it in a chainsaw mill? If so. I would be curious what was the Stihl saw you milled with before. Reason why I'm asking is that I have a 64cc Stihl that I hope to mill some cedar with. I'm talking small trees may be 12-14" at the most just on the very occasional bases.

As for switching saws. I think they are both great and I would have no trouble going with a Husky saw. I bought mine from a dealer that sells and services both. It came down to a bit better price on the Stihl. My neighbor owns and manages 200 acres mostly woods. He has one of each never heard him complain about either one.

Yeah I run a small alaskan mill, more as a hobby than anything else. I ran a 84cc Stihl 1980's vintage, lost the piston and jug, not worth repairing. I also have a couple of pro series 036 and 361 saws, they will mill a little in soft woods such as your cedar but they work pretty hard. I would not hesitate to do it with your 64cc. My local stihl dealer told me the new 75cc saw would perforn as well as the old 84cc saw, after trying it I say Bull. But I do like the lighter saw cutting wood. All in all I think the 372 was a good choice for me.
