Would someone mind explaining the theory behind a swinging rear blade on a Boxblade? The Ford 3000 I just bought came with a Boxblade that has a swinging rear blade. The 3 box blades I have used in the past were fixed. Wondering if this something desirable or should I weld it /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

On a fix blade BB, dirt will build up between the front and rear blade, which will cause the blade to rise a little off the ground. A swinging rear blade will let the dirt out so this won't happen.
