JD 5525 and 5093e Kubota SVL75
Any owners on here?

I have been looking at CTLs and the Kubota SVL75 seems like the right mix. I really like the roll up inside door. The price seems good also.

I am looking at a SVL75 cabin air machine for $51K new.

Comments?

i love mine, i ran Cat skiddsteers for years but I switched and am very happy. Plenty of power, smooth controls. and quiet. The only complaint I would have would be you cant quite see the outside edge of the bucket when operating. luckily I bought a 4 in 1 bucket with mine which is a tad longer and with this one you can see the front edges,

What CAT did you have before?

The roll up door seems like such a win. JD used to have them

The dealer still has some without the DPF (diesel emission stuff). The 75 hp emission law stuff kicked in end of 2012. That is one reason I am really thinking of jumping on the deal. I believe a 75hp is plenty for what I need.

How long have you had your machine?

What attachments do you have for it?

Have you had to do any repairs?

I want to run a sprayer on a tree shear. On the CAT it has a plug I would plug into. I didn't see one on the Kubota. I wonder if that is an option.

Good to hear.

What is the scoop on the emissions. What is Kubota's plan for emissions o the SVL75?

Which years don't have the DPF or any other stuff?

Thanks,
D.

I will have mine within 2 weeks or so. Have been waiting on land pride to ship their stump grinders.

I am having a hard time sleeping. :)

Pics will happen. They had to get a controller from Land Pride for the stump grinder. Still shooting for Sat delivery.

Super! Sounds like quite a setup... for land clearing or right-of-way contract work or power-line easement jobs?? You gonna work that thing or use it to mix in a bit of sawdust and molasses into those Longhorn's feed rations? ;)

Going to use it for all kinds of stuff. Stump clearing from the cedar tree mulching we did.

Going to clear mesquites trees at my other place. It is so over grown - going to clean it up nice.

Don't know anything about mesquite trees.. except what other's have said here on TBN. Nasty, tough and hard to clean 'em out! You got your work cut out for you!

Use the tree shear to cut thm off at the ground.
Spray remedy and diesel b the stump .
Use a root grapple to pile the trees up
Burn them

Repeat.

Whoa, baby.... come to papa!! Nice - very nice. Did you get a tree shear, too?

Last year traveled to SD to visit my family and pick up some more farm equipment. Visited with a couple of local farmer/ranchers that I used to go to school with and learned that the local NRCS has purchased a T250 Bobcat with a Fecon head.

Thousands of acres of rangeland along the Missouri River have become over-run with red cedar trees.

So, local ranchers/farmers can rent the tracked Bobcat with that Fecon mulcher head and make the chips fly!

(You won't have to wait in line for your turn, though..) :)

Tree shear will be here later this week or next week. M&M Engineering Hydraclip 14" with sprayer.

Tree shear is better for mesquite.

I had a guy come do the mulching. The trees were so big that the mulch piles were too high to get the stumps all the way down.

I whacked a couple stumps with the new stump grinder. I believe it is going to do a nice job.
