ok guys, I've been lurking for awhile reading/learning as much I can. I just bought some land (11ac) and also have a small aquascape company. I am looking to buy a SVL and trying to determine if it is worthwhile to consider new and finance using their money or get used to save thousands.

I assumed I would have to get used but saw some posts on the internet where some good deals were had for new. So I called a dealer two days ago and went to look at one. They priced out an svl75-2 open cab, QC for 52,8 and the enclosed was another $6k. I was a little shocked as I wasn't expecting that high but perhaps the T4 emissions DPF jacked the price from what people paid for the regular unit.

Just wanted to get some thoughts on whether that was going rate or if that was inflated. Appreciate the assistance.

They are definitely expensive machines, and it's not just the Kubota, all of them are pricey. As for used verses new I would watch and see what used prices are going for and then factor in the higher interest for financing the used unit. Some times it is a better deal to go with a new one.

Agreed that there are a lot less out there than Cats but there are some low hour cabs selling for less than a new open. The only bene for buying new is the 0% and some warranty. What to do????
