They now use SCR and urea. Awesome hydraulic flow too.

I was looking at the list of all the new Caterpillar models that use Kubota engines, and I saw that the Cat min-ex's have a DPF-less solution on the Kubota engine. Any idea if the Kubota excavators will go this route?
You'd wonder why Kubota didn't do that for themselves?

Kubota Tractor does not seem found of a DOC based engine system as indications are it will shorten the lifespan of the engine as it has to run at higher temperatures. Its a curious thing because the engine division builds them and the tractor division quite intentionally chooses not to use them.
