I’m trying find a smaller tractor (50-80HP) that has ride suspension. Not an air ride seat. True suspension. What’s the smallest tractor the offers this? Mine tears my back up even with low tire pressure. Use of tractor is mainly bush hogging and light farm work.

I have never seen it. Only optional for the front axle on very large expensive tractors. Not saying it doesn't exist.

I'm guessing that all kinds of problems would arise with a suspension. My 08 GMC Duramax starts to hop like crazy at slow speed with a loss of traction. Stuff like that.

Doesn’t exist. Suspension on a tractor would make it an unstable and unsafe platform for performing work. Most I’ve seen is rubber pads between the operator platform and chassis.

Consider an air ride seat. There are several threads here saying good things about it. I don't have experience with it though.

If you have a loader, maybe you can get an hydraulic accumulator that absorbs the shock during loader work and just driving around.

The smallest tractor with front suspension I can think of is around 75 HP over here in Europe but mostly are for Orchard and vineyard. Fendt, Class, Deutz are a couple of them that offer front axle suspension. Although the price rises rather quickly.

I've thought about this several times. It would really nice if someone would make a compact tractor (35-60HP) with front suspension.

Consider wide cross-section, low pressure radial tractor tires for your next tractor.

Jeffy,
Radial tires generally improve ground contact. Traction. The investment for the ride improvement on a small tractor would be a complete
Waste of Money. Further there is a restriction of available radial sizes to accommodate smaller tractors. It is obvious YOU have NOT operated a radial equipped tractor.

Front axle suspension:

As noted above, this is an expensive option on the larger AG Machines. Doubt enough folks would support development of the option for small compacts/utilities.

This feature is designed for equipment wherein operator spends long hours in the seat. Suspect time duration operating small tractors is rather abbreviated by comparison.

I haven't noticed any small tractors with suspensions.

The larger ones with the high speed ( over 25 mph) will have front suspensions.

Many of the larger cabs have some suspension but not a lot.

The small tractors with the smaller (shorter) tires will always have a rougher ride then a tractor with taller tires, in the same terrain.

JCB made their Fasttrac (sp?) It is a larger tractor and may have some kind of ride control.

Don't want an air ride maybe try to modify for a shock absorbed ride. Or both. Add a vibrating back and you should be good.

Massey Ferguson 5700 series have suspension. Incredible machines

This is one of the reasons I sold my tractor and bought a Bobcat Toolcat 5610. The machine has a front loader, rear pto and 3-point, and SUSPENSION. I know, it's not for everyone, but it does me good.

@Bigpuddie - I think the OP was looking for suspension on the actual tractor. It looks like the MF has an air-ride seat and suspension on the loader, does it also have actual suspension on the tractor itself?

The 5700 offers front suspension as a very expensive option. Plus this is a row crop machine, a bit too LARGE for compact tractor tasks.

Very impressive! I think you're right, a bit too big for compact tractor tasks...

It has rear suspension, loader suspension, and air seat. It's the smallest tractor I know of with suspension.

I just skimmed thru the spec sheets and configurator for the 5700 and the 5700SL and on the SL I saw the suspension front axle and cab suspension and air suspension seat, I didn't se any loader suspension or rear suspension.

Look at the Massey Ferguson FL series loaders. The option is called Soft Drive. They are made by ALO Quicke. Beitragsbilder_MFFL_848x310.jpeg
