Looks like you got me beat /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Gives your tractor a real nice look. Nice. G

Thanks for the pics Vince. That shade really looks good on there. Have you tried putting some foam rubber in the inside to dampen the noise level? I don't know if that would work, but I think it would. Maybe just some of those ceiling tile insulators would work as well.
What tiller model is that you on there? The whole outfit just looks great. John

The sunshade looks great. It gives a real smooth look to the DK. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Vince,
On the canopies from Well Ag that Bird and myself have and had, there was and is a black wall board between the frame and the top. It is the same wall insulation board that is used on houses before the brick is put up. It work really well and if you can sandwich it, you don't have to glue it.

I have used a FireBird Fiberglass canopy for the past 6+ years and I have yet to break/damage one. Granted I have not dropped any large dead branches on my canopy but it has taken more than an occasional rub from a branch without incident. I'm not ready to trade up to a metal sun shade as I like the looks of a sleek painted fiberglass canopy myself.

Thanks Jerry and everyone on the insulation advice.
I will most likely try the insulation, but it may be a few months till I get to it.

Vince,
I don't pop in much here any more been having to much fun in Associated word with GerardC but they took us of the air (to popular)

But i like your shade, does it just bolt straight to the rops, if so i might look into one for myself.

VIN,
Sorry it took so long to get back to you, we recently moved to a new house and have been without phone and internet service for 3 to 4 weeks.
The sunshade is plastic, the sunshade frame is steel and clamps to the ROPS using U bolts.

I noticed the same thing on my Kubota B2710 about 3 years ago. My son, the musician cut and glued some foam acoustic material to the underside of the canopy and it helped ALOT. In fact it seemed even quieter than before.

Unfortunately the stuff has all almost all come off now. I need to re-apply that or something similar.

vince,
Thanks its better late than never, I will price them from the local dealer next week. Gets pretty hot here in summer and all those uv rays due to the hole in the ozone layer, can't be to careful.
