Where should I look to buy a sun shade for my B3030? What material is the best to get? What should I pay for it? I need advice.

Thanks for the info. Do you have one of these? If so, how do you you like it and what did you pay for it?

Get a Kubota unit. I did for my L4330. They are very well made and braced, the right color and built to fit your tractor. You get what you pay for. Saving a few bucks buying a non factory unit is not always wise. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have the factory one ($350) on one of my kubota's. It's great If you don't need to fold the ROPS down. I didn't get one for the other Kubota because of needing to fold the ROPS to park it in the shed.

I have a Firebird Fiberglas Canopy.

Color is an exact match and it looks great as well. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

SCB & ronjhall, I bought the tufftop. I called the distributor, that is 40 minutes from me, and they had the rep. call me. He was at the dealer in my town, so, I went, met him, and paid for it. I drove to the distributor and picked it up. I just got finished putting it together. It looks great! The orange matches. It looks like it will take some abuse and then bend right back into shape. It is about 35 to 40 lbs. Four knobs and 15 seconds later, it is off. It has several different angle adjustments, so, it will be level. I painted the mounting bracket, that stays on the ROPS, the matching Kubota grey. It is still drying, so I will put it on tomorrow. Thanks for your help everyone.

I haven't looked into how to stick the pictures on here. I guess I need to learn. By the way, the top is on the tractor. I measured it and I think I have 1 inch clearance to get out of my garage. If you hear a big scrape and some bad words, it didn't clear.

Here's what a Tufftop looks like on my B7510HST.
If it's not on TSC's website, you can find it on p. 215 of the latest TSC catalog (Part #29-00002, $265.60).
As far as I know TSC only supplies the white canopy. I don't know if you can get a Tufftop in Kubota orange.

Nice sunshade /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
I am looking at several different sun shades and hope to add one this week.
Does anyone have one of the sunshades from Westendorf Mfg.? This looks as though it would be easy-on/easy-off. And it looks aerodynamic for when you are speeding down the road at 14mph /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.
I am having trouble finding dealers in western NC.

The company web site is www.westendorfmfg.com, check it out.

The company is located in Onawa,IA. Anyone have any information or purchased products from them?
The web site will not show dealers so I e-mailed them and they replied with a list of cities that WERE dealers and if I would tell them which city was closest to me they would provide a phone number. I am going to end up calling them since the reply e-mail keeps coming back to me.

Hi All, This is Chris Kamerer from TuffTOP. I just wanted to say thanks for the feedback I've gotten from these posts. I am asking anyone interested to give me some feedback about the TuffTOP - the product, the website, whatever. We are a very small, family owned business (my little brother is our shipping dept.) and it is very important for us to grow this product on a grass roots level. Tell us what you like about it and/or what you hate about it. Thanks in advance. The contact page on the website comes directly to me.

Looks good! The reasons I bought a tuff top are as follows; I can remove it in under 15 seconds and then put it back same time. I go from open to woods on my deer trails. Lots of trees to hit. I can still benefit from the folding rops. I also, trailer my B3030 60 miles to my 135 acre farm. I take it off to prevent wind damage. If I would hit something, it just bends and then goes right back into shape. I liked the size of 54" front to back and 48" wide. The main reason, though, was how easy it was to put on and take off.

This top is a little different than the one I got. The side edges on my top actually fold almost straight down. I have metal strips going down the side edges of my top from front to back. I also, have a nice piece of plastic edging (moulding) that goes on the front and rear edges of the top. These butt up to the side metal pieces to form a protective edge around the complete top. The color is Kubota orange.

FYI,
I made my own out of 2x8 ash and 1/2 plywood. Painted it black. Attached it with long hose clamps. I made it as big as I wanted it and it shades me very well. Saved lots of money, looks OK. brett w
