Linkage from the actuator pedal. Maybe bent or disconnected?...apparently. I.e. only one wheel spins when "engaged".
Where do I look, or can I, to find out what the issue might be?

Ha, could be the obvious! Thanks for the kick in the behind. Will check it out...Linkage from the actuator pedal. Maybe bent or disconnected?
I understand it may not be immediate, but yes, I have let the wheel spin more than half a turn, the pedal is touching the floor, and nothing changes. I will look at the linkage. Don't know why I didn't think of that before, d'oh!You sure it was engaged when only one wheel was turning? Many tractors have little to no indication as to whether the rear differential lock has engaged or not. On most of mine, with my heel pressure downward on the pedal hard, the wheels have to turn a small amount and the engagement pedal then goes down further when it actually engages.
I didn't, and wouldn't. I have "mechanical sensitivity". But it's certainly possible that the PO did. I bought it 12 years old with 600 hours...Have you engaged the diff lock with one wheel spinning and the other standing still?
