SUDT vs UDT for BX-24 Official Kubota Recommendation

I thought that Kubota came out with a new oil that replaced UDT and SUDT (SUDT II or something like that)...?

It replaced SUDT, not UDT.

Since UDT's viscosity is near that of SAE 10 when it is cold and near that of SAE 30 when it is hot, why is it not considered a multi-viscosity oil?

Info I've seen describes it as a 30w...or ISO 46 which equals 20 weight....??
Curious where you saw 10w-30?

...and will probably make it into manual by 2013 - 2014...:D

Note the current BX24 WSM makes no mention of UDT or SUDT for replacement fluid, merely the statement I quoted about using a multigrade.
So any new brand specific recommendation may never appear in the manual:)

I hope you're right as it just confuses people, contrary to what some will say, there is nothing special about Kubota fluids. I have seen more hostility on oil/fluid threads than just about anything else.

If Kubota fluid SUDT is not specially made for the requirements of the Kubota HST then why do some people switch back to it after using other fluids??? Some accounts refer to the increased whine to not having as much starting power on hills. Please explain why all these accounts are wrong or a figment of the imagination. I do know that when I did the 50 hour service on my L3130 GST and filled with SUDT that the shifting was better and quicker.

David, these threads never solve anything. That said, part of the problem is that when folks have switched and then went back to sudt, it is often because they chose a discount, no-name type, generic fluid. That was my experience. No doubt, if I could find a top quality, name brand UTF, I'd likely be more than satisfied with the performance, but that begs the question as to whether I'd save any real money. See the conundrum? Well, mine anyhow.
