Kubota b2400 SOLD. Now a Massey Ferguson 285 SOLD. Now a Kubota 50HP
OK. I'm a little confused by subplates. Subplates don't come with power beyond that I have found, but I've seen references to placing them in power beyond series circuits. Does this mean that in the case of solenoids on a subplate dump to tank or to power beyond doesn't really matter?

Thanks

Single station subplate. DO3

This subplate has a 5000 psi rating on the P port and T port. You can call the T port PB if you want because it can handle the pressure and pass fluid downstream.

If the subplate valve setup is the last valve in the hyd path, then the T port represents the tank or reservoir or return port.

Here is a two station sub plate. Used with solenoid valves. It has a P=pressure, T=Tank port , and 4 work ports. The tank port can handle the high pressure and can be in the series path of the hyd flow. It can be the second valve or the third or forth valve. When this valve is activated, the total pump flow goes through the work ports until the operation is finished. Any valve downstream has no fluid until you release the control on the solenoid valve.

The sub plate does not require a screw or a sleeve for high pressure operation like a regular lever valve PB port.

I'd like to hear more discussion on this subject. Remember that in multi-valve subplates (better called manifolds), they come in two basic types...series and parallel. I have have limited experience with single valve subplates and multi-valve parallel manifolds. In a parallel manifold, all valves on it must be closed-center type...thus all P's are blocked when all valves in neutral. The P and T are drilled all the way thru from end to end of the block, right past all valve positions. P & T is ported to all valves and all valves have their own A & B port. One end's P and T must be plugged or can connected to other manifolds, etc.

Series Manifolds require that only open-center valves be on it and P daisy-chains thru P's & T's from valve to valve. I have not used those kind, but that is my understanding.
