3-Point Hitch Stuck Up

My 3 point hitch is stuck in the up position. It does not respond to the controls, I tried to manualy move and can not move it up or down. It was working fine as I was using my post hole digger and i let the tractor roll backwards on a hill and it pushed the post hole rig and 3 point hitch a little past normal up position. What do I need to do to fix it?

you may have to take it apart to see whats causing it to be stuck in the up position.if the rate of decent valve is open it should go down easily.maybe the lift rod in the lift cylinder came out?

Yeah, that's what was thinking it just seemed a little odd. I am planning on taking it apart next week. Have the Pickens County Chili cook off this week end.
