beowulf, that is a funny story.
Sam, our Shepard mix pound dog - dearly loved but now gone had an endearing habit. We had a bunch of 3" dia ten foot long PVC drain pipes behind the barn. Sam once found that a squirrel was inside a section of the pipe and he chewed up both ends trying to get at it. All he managed to do was terrify the squirrel and make it squeak constantly. So finally he drug the pipe section up to the house (about 300 feet from where he found the pipe) and continued to swing that long pipe back and forth trying to get it out, stopping now and then to look pleadingly at me for help. I heard the squirrel and picked the pipe up vertically and pounded it on the ground until the squirrel popped out which he then caught. Well, after that, I assume he thought I was some sort of magician with the power to pop squirrels out of any pipe sections he brought to me. So he kept dragging pipe sections up into the yard for me to pop squirrels out of. I finally had to build a storage area for the pipe that he could not get to.
I accidently ran our siamese cat through a couple tumbles in the dryer. I was in a hurry while doing laundry.Wow. My cat wants out also but hasn’t figured out that trick yet.
Cats are curious (but not so smart) pets. Once, I left the washer top open (top loading) to get some stuff. Came back and the cat is in the washer! He has also jumped behind the dryer.

Our golden retriever will pick and eat blackberries, red raspberries and strawberries if we let her.We had a golden retriever that learned to pick blackberries, with us... very carefully as to not get pricked!!!

Emptied the dryer into the basket, hauled it to the bedroom. Went back and switched the wash from the washer to the dryer. Spun the nob, hit start and heard Thump......... Thump.
Opened up the dryer and out stumbles a ticked off cat![]()
You win. There's no sense in posting any more stories, as I doubt that anything can top this one.
Thankfully it was just two rotations in the dryer and I had the door open. Sounded similar to a shoe being placed in the dryer and flopping around. I was starting another load in the washer so I was standing next to the dryer.OMG. I’m glad you realized something was wrong.
You would think that experience would teach the cat a lesson. But, I will bet the cat would go inside the dryer again if given the chance.
