I got this straight electrical grinder, Black and Decker I believe, it is old and the name is scratched bad.
It has no wheel or wheel cover on it, the anchor is 3/8", anybody is familiar with similar one? It warns against using a wheel not designed for 4500rpms, which should not be problem today, but every grinding wheel I found locally has a bigger hole. I am guessing 4-5" wheel is maximum it should take, but nothing came with it.
It looks sturdy and well built with full aluminum casing and from outside accessible brushes and overall nice piece of power tool. I was thinking adopting it to my lathe as tool post grinder, but due to the mass of the motor it would have very limited use. Now I am thinking just use it along my Makita 4 1/2".
Opinions?
