The real strange stuff is apparently at, or under the South Pole.

WE, are also apparently not allowed to go there either.

I've been there and the missus reckons I am strange, it is also rumoured that the Irish want to put a submarine under it like you did with the north pole;)

Actually, I'm not sure I'd want to .... seem like it'd be kind of cold. When the annual average high temperature is a double digit negative number in Fahrenheit I'm inclined to pass on going there (and I grew up with Minnesota cold).

So there's that and I'd question if they have regular and consistent access to TBN down at the South Pole.

Oh don't be such a wuss... it's the middle of Winter down there right now, but Summer is coming.

Practically balmy! :sun::palmtree:

Plus there are no polar bears but the alpine koalas are a problem I have heard.

If that is the case quite a few times this spring and summer I have had hundreds and hundreds of Robin drones checking me out in my front yard

That's quite a story that you linked to. I haven't through the entire story yet, it's getting past my bed time. Yet it's the kind of thing which I tend to read. SAR people are an amazing group; they are headed out into the woods to find somebody when the rest of us are headed home for supper and a shower.

i read this link, cover to cover. what an amazing story. he really can tell a good story...

Best answer yet. :thumbsup: Although with this weekend's proclaimed heat wave I could use a little cold.

I did finish it that night, sleep is grossly overrated.:rolleyes: His perseverance gave the victim's family some closure although it's unfortunate that they couldn't recover the remains of the children.
