I believe that you misunderstood. They play CD's of Brittney Spears over and over again, and that's enough deterrent to drive anybody away.

Well someone hit a cow out in the desert with their car. I have know about the wild cattle and wild horses that roam the desert since I was a small child. There is always some danger in "loading one" on your hood, especially at night. With all the increased traffic, it just increases the chance of this happening. I feel a little sorry for the cow.

There's the county Sheriff's Office and the base's private subcontractor to the USAF aka "Camo Dudes". CD sees you coming (from 10-15 miles away) and if you violate the boundary (which is another 15-20 miles to the actual base) calls the Sheriff. Sheriff arrests and off to county jail you go.

I wonder how the precedence rule applies. The Sheriff of any county (or like area) is the supreme word on law enforcement. I dispatched for 10 years and we got in a "who'se is bigger" with the state patrol. WSP called and asked "Who called out my trooper?" My answer "The Sheriff and here is the number. Nothign further heard. It was a major search for a murderer. I dunno if that applies the military bases - probably not.
