Switch to Mozilla Firefox with AdBlock and NoScript.

Steve
Or Chrome with the same...

If its the login popup, stay signed in and it wont show up. If its another popup, its probably malware on your computer as (last I heard) TBN doesn't use advertising popups (just the login one).

I use the same set up as Steve (poster #2).
No pop-ups here either.

I stay logged in with IE10 with popup blocker on. I do not get any popups.

I'm using IE10 with no pop-ups. A couple months ago I started getting a few in here, but checked and found my Norton anti-virus/security didn't auto-update. Fixed that and no problems since.

When I go on TbN using my wifes Apple MacAirBook, I can't get past the popup- really nasty. Seems counterintuitive to be so rude and intrusive- who the heck would by a McDonalds anything if they ruin your forum access? I will try to block it, thanks to earlier posters suggestions.

Assuming that this is the signup popup, hitting "Cancel and Close" or the "Esc" key will make it go away. If its an ad, post a screenshot of it, but its most likely malware...

It will make it go away for that time... but it will come right back the next time you are on that screen. It's very annoying and persistent.

At least set the timer so that it doesn't come up for a minute or so, so that when browsing threads we aren't immediately bothered with it every time we come back to the index page. Another reason for a minute delay... it often pops and interrupts what I'm doing while I'm entering my login information in the normal place!

And no I can't stay logged in. For various reasons including that I'm sometimes using a work laptop, I browse TBN in incognito mode which doesn't save cookies or logins after I close the browser.

Agree with everyone else here...never had a pop up at work (suh...shouldn't read this at work, right?) and at home. You need a better firewall!
