Stiff throttle

Before I go digging into the injector pump on my L3710, has anyone else experienced the throttle linkage on the pump itself becoming very stiff? It is the pump not he connecting linkage that is stiff. It has become gradually stiffer over the last few months to the point you have to return the foot throttle by sticking your toe under it and pulling back. Has anyone else had this problem?
