The rocker pedal on my CK30 HST has begun rebounding slowly. I have greased the zerk, cleaned the rod and oiled the linkage.
It is a 2012 with 2660 hours. Suggestions

Same as mine, albeit a 2014 with only about 700 hours on it. Seems to be worse when tractor is first started and not as pronounced after it’s warmed up with use.

Any debris jammed up in the peddle linkage? I had that issue once, and it kinda spoked me when the Forward peddle didn't come up, when I lifted my foot. Shut it down, and found a stick had wedged in there and kept it from returning.

Did you read his post?

My Branson does this when cold and the grease is stiff. I tried some low temp grease and that seemed to help a little.

I had that problem with my CK30. Dealer said the shaft where it goes into the transmission fit very tightly and it was difficult to get it lubed properly. He ended up pulling the case apart, removing the shaft, sanding down the shaft and cleaning up the hole it fit in. This gave just enough clearance to grease it up properly before reassembling. Supposedly worked fine after that. I traded the CK30 in for a DK40 and never used it after dealer fixed it. Sometimes I wish I had kept the CK.

NH TC29D has same issue. But, comes and goes. All it takes is a light tap on reverse end of pedal, and it stops the forward motion. It's not like it is running full steam, it just doesn't return to neutral position. And it's only when running, I think. Peddle seems to move freely when I'm trying to fix issue. Unless it is such a slight hang up that I don't see. It's a head scratcher for sure...

Kioti installed 3 new transmissions in my CK27 it still stuck often then they tried a $600 fix then they added an extra spring to the return. It still stuck some times where I had to give a hard kick to release it. When it stuck and I flipped over backwards I took the tractor back to the dealer and told them to keep it ,600 hrs. on it . They sold me a 2610 real cheap with 2 pedals it still sticks when cold but not as severe I now have 1200 + hrs. on it. I think they need to rethink their transmissions.

It's not about blaming the person who’s forced into a horrible situation, but about focusing on the person who’s abusing their power. The boss is in the wrong here, and the victim is just trying to survive in a terrible position. We should be looking at how to stop people from using their power in such an awful way and how to bring those responsible to justice.
I don't think you posted in the correct thread.

My 2010 Ck30, with 900 hrs, does the same as yours and Retired Guy. I gave up on greasing or oiling as it doesn't seem to make any diff. It does seem to warm up a bit sooner than it used to and then its ok.

My problem, over the years, is forgetting to release the brake pedal lock and now the brakes are half worn out! LOL

With all the HST peddles sticking complaints on so many different models and manufacturers, it has become obvious this is a design issue.

I have a New Holland TZ25DA with the same issue. Doesn't seem to be as bad after it's been running and is warmed up, but it never is to may satisfaction. After studying the mechanics of how the peddle returns, I have decided the damping cylinder is contributing to this problem. I will be disconnecting the damping unit later this month to see if there is any change in how fast the HST returns.

I have a very old Deere 425 with about 1200 hours that doesn't seem to suffer from this issue. I will also take another look at it's return system to see how different it is from the TZ25.

Hello t_bois1!
My CK30 has same problem. Did disconecting of the damping cylinder solve this issue or what is the best fix?

My CK30 is now doing this too. Didn't until recently, maybe last 2 years. 2005 tractor, owned since new. It might get a little better as it gets warmed up but it doesn't go away completely. Disconcerting, to say the least. Maybe it's a 2004 tractor, as I've been here since then. Wonder why I'm a new member?

I guess this is still an issue!
I recently purchased a 2023 CK3520SE and it does the same thing.
Unfortunately, from what I see here, it looks like there is no fix.

If its sticking in the cold until the tractor warms up, its normal. How well do you work when your blood is cold?

If its doing similar issues when its warm out or if the tractor is already warmed up and starts to become a safety concern contact your dealer. They may need to replace the HST assembly, if its not a sticking linkage issue.

Mine is intermittent but often enough to be a concern. It happens when transmission is hot or cold. Of course, this is a cold winter, and I just purchased this tractor so I don't know what will happen in warm weather.
I don't know if it's a HST transmission problem or not, but I do know that when happens the forward pedal does not return back completely. To me the transmission is still moving forward because that's what the pedal is telling it to do.
Why ain't the pedal completely returning? Good question...

I can only refer to the Kioti CK and Bobcat CT era of tractor, pre tier 4 units. I have not kept up with the newer units.
IXLR8, in post #6, has it spot on in my opinion.

The problem is where the rotating shaft goes into the hst unit. The hst unit is within the bell housing which connects the front and back of the tractor together. The bell housing has a hole where the square end of rotating shaft comes out. A linkage arm clamps onto the square end and almost entirely covers the hole in the bell housing making it very difficult to get in there and lube where the shaft exits the hst unit.

I use fluid film with the straw to hose that area down every time I grease the tractor. Even hard to get in there with the straw. Have only had some treadle sticking the past couple of years only in the very extreme cold and will clear up after about 10 mins of use.
My opinion is this is not normal, but so common that we just accept it as normal.

This is a pic of a Bobcat CT230 hst. You can see where the input shaft with square end goes into the unit. This is where you need to get the lube. Not my tractor or pic.
