Sticking hydro pedal

   / Sticking hydro pedal #81
Well... add me to the sticky hydro list. I was moving snow last winter and suddenly the hydro pedal stopped returning to neutral. I had run up on a snow bank and the snow was packed up underneath the tractor pretty good. I thought I might have bent the return mechanism. Two weeks ago I put the tractor up on my lift and the return mechanism is free and works fine. Are there any risks to continuing to use the tractor with the sticky pedal? Since my closest dealer went belly up 2 years ago, the nearest dealer is now over 2 hours away so it is not like I can throw it on a trailer to take it to him any old time.

Have you solved this sticking pedal problem yet? If so, how?

No fix yet, pedal stays in what ever position you put it in, doesn't matter if tractor is running or not. I did find that I didn't lube the HST pedal shaft properly. Lubing it eliminated the squeaking but pedal still says where you put it. Damper seems to be working fine, but I need to pull spring assembly and check that out again. I would like to figure out what the issue is before it gets traded in on the DK40. :) I would prefer not to "stick it" to the dealer or next owner.

We'll see how Kioti likes the lawsuits over the deaths of a few operators. This sticking pedal is a MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. PLease send Kioti an email stating so. I made a number of political contributions through the years so perhaps it's time to call Wyden or Merkel or one of the others.

I know old thread but I will see if any of you guys have heard of my particular issue, just started up the dk50se today after sitting for some time, when I engage my fwd switch it is all I can do to force my forward pedal down and then it sticks until I push the reverse pedal, everything works fine in 2 wheel drive. It looks like when I engage the fwd there is a silver colored cylinder which pops out a little and rubs against the bottom side of the forward pedal, if that makes any sense. I am going to try lubing but the linkage is fine in 2wd so I'm not really thinking that is the issue

Are you sure you are not engaging the cruise control switch. That will do exactly what you describe. The 4wd switch is on the left. The cruise control is on the right just next to the PTO switch (assuming the DK50se is the same as a 2007 DK40se)

Yes that is exactly what I was doing. Hadn't operated my tractor in a few months and I am run a John Deere hoe at work every day which has the symbol for 4wd that looks identical to the symbol for the cruise on the Kioti. I figured it out on my own about 10 minutes after posting on here and didn't get back in time to erase my post. I am retarded lol. I also have been applying the left signal light on my pickup to shift into reverse, I think I have been spending wayyyy too much time on that backhoe at work LOL. Forgive my idiocy.
