Do you guys use a steering wheel spinner on your Kubota. I have a new L2501 FEL 4x4 and am curious about using one on the L models. I'm wondering if it is worth putting on for bush hogging/finishing mower usage and light disc usage for garden. Thanks.

My M9540 came with one. Didn't think I ever used it until it came loose one day. Turns out I use it a lot and never even noticed.

Yep, all my tractors and mowers have one. Very handy.

Don't scrimp when you buy it. I did and ended up spending twice as much because the cheap-o ones needed to be replaced.

The one I have on the Kubota works ok ... but the clamp part which was chromed has rusted ... :(

Yes, pretty much if my hand doesn't find the spinner, I have to stop to look down to find it before I can move. They should be standard. No point in running a tractor, especially with a loader, without one. I got the one with the kubota logo in it from Coleman online, IIRC. Works well, I just had to re-tighten it a couple times after install until it stabilized and was good to go for good.

Yep, I even added a second as it was a gift. One is great... two don't hurt and work for me. :D:D

How else are you going to work the loader with one hand and steer with the other?

Thanks everyone. You cracked me up. I thought one hand was for the cold "beverage" and you have to steer with your knees while using the loader.:crossfingers: Yeah, swmbo has already laughed at me for running into a few "unimportant things" with the loader. Takes some getting use too. :ashamed:

I thought I had it down with the bucket clearance... added a Piranha Tooth Bar and it actually reaches out an dings stuff even when I am paying attention! :confused3:

I once "accidentally" ran over some of her bushes and flowers, that were completely in my way and I had told her not to put anything there. Of course I did it when she was away visiting a relative at the time. The old 8N with a bushhog did pretty job...of course she did a number on me when she got home! Just about had to sleep in the barn for awhile...:irked:

Amazing what you can get done when the better half isn't around. No approvals necessary and no 'what the H E double hockey sticks are you doing comments'. I lose weight too!

I installed a spinner knob on the steering wheel of my B3030. I initially thought that it would be in the way. However, I found that it has been an asset, especially while being used when backing the tractor. If you install one, don't do what I did and get hung up on positioning it. Due to the power steering, the position of the knob always ends up on a different position on the wheel. If you position it at 9:00 o clock, it may be at 3:00 oclock next time you get on the tractor. One of my neighbors--an old retired truck driver--tried to remedy this problem on his old big Ford tractor--he installed three(3) separate spinners!

three spinners on my tractor...hydraulic steering ensures that the steering wheel wanders all over the place, thus just one spinner is never where you expect it to be.

one spinner on my RTV

DON'T get in the seat without at least one!
