I have an XG3037, 160 hrs, and just noticed that the steering wheel can continue to rotate even when the front wheels have reached the limit of their turn. Is this normal? Thanks.

Yes, it's normal. You can also turn the wheel while the tractor is off, and it won't turn the wheels. It's because tractors like ours use hydrostatic power steering not a mechanical setup.

Thank you, motownbrowne. Had me worried since I hadn't noticed it before.

If you have any OCD, that steering wheel being off will drive you bonkers. Other than that, it's perfectly normal.

Yep....Chief OCD'er....I probably should begin looking for an Errant Steering Wheel support group!
