Agreed. SIP's are a great way to get a building up fast and insulated at the same time. And the walls are always straight!

My house is a timber frame with OSB/ sheetrock SIP panels. Two of us did the whole house in less than a week including the roof. I swear I can heat my house with a couple of candles.

I have yet to see any steel SIPs, but it sure looks like they have gotten
the weight down enough that they are much easier to lift vs. OSB SIPs.

Is the interior finish left as-is, or is there something you put over the steel?

Like the last replier, I am curious about where your building is located? Seems like a great idea for an industrial type of building, a shop, or whatever, but I wonder about thermal transfer thru the metal edges, etc. in a cold climate? SIPs are very interesting in cold climates where energy usage hurts, for sure!

Great question, steel SIPs were originally used for the cold storage industry, but additional testing in recent years have proved them to be viable for other uses including homes , commercial and light industrial.
Thermally broken channels are used in cold climates, same as a cold storage building in Miami might be 90 outside and -15 inside or a heated commercial building in Wisconsin might be -15 outside and 70 inside.
The panel core is solid foam with no studs or splines to transfer thermally, all other channels are handled by thermal breaks

that project was done on Brunswick, Ga. in a 130 mph hurricane wind zone, interior is left "as is" . Steel SIPs used as homes are coverd with drywall on the inside.
Steel SIPs are 1/2 the weight of OSB sips and about less than 2# per sq. foot.
2 men can easily handle a 16 ft/ panel
No cranes are ever used, roof is set with the assistance of 2 scissor lifts
