It isn't green but I can assure you it is John Deere. This is a gator we had modified for us at work. It just happens to black. It could have been any color but Black tends to work for the Army.

I would call it flat black, as for glare.. well I haven't really noticed so I guess the answer is no.

I recall reading an article in the 80s about the army switching to flat black for the boot polish for field personnel. Seems the shiney black polish showed up like a lit bulb when viewed at night with Low Light Vision equipment. They probably changed all black to flat black after that.
