Yeah, like fake newspaper articles and fake delinquent tax statements, and fake testimonies by fake former employees, fake reports of chained gates and empty parking lots, fake non-responsive owners, fake full voicemail, and fake outrageously long wait times and....
Didn't you get your money back from your CC company? If not, why? Then you could just go ahead and find another implement from a local dealer and buy it, go on with your life and put this minor calamanity behind you.

Man I hope you never experience a real problem in your life. If money can fix it, it's not really a problem. Some of yall act like your world is coming to an end because a vendor didn't come through on time with a item you ordered.

I see both sides of this.

One is anger at being taken advantage of by a vendor they trusted. We can debate if that trust was a smart thing to do but stuff happens. Much like a woman who has "made a commitment" to you and has an affair with someone else.

But I cannot get my undies in a knot over a business failing. Especially when it concerns tractor attachments. What was so special about what they made! Find something else and order the thing.

I recently had an attachment made for my tractor to lift bulk bags into the bed of a 3/4 ton pickup. There was nothing I could find to do the job. $165 for the SSQA plate and $500 (material and labor) for the machine shop to make it.

Your point is valid. Man up and move on. We all sympathize with people who didn't get their implements but some of them just cry about it like it's the worst thing ever happened in their life. We all air a gripe once in a while but get it off your chest and get back to work.

I bought from EA a few years ago and except for wait all was well. Anyone would be upset not receiving order and beyond the chargeback time limit.
I needed a battery for my truck Tuesday and ordered an Optima from Jegs. I got an email confirmation then a second email luckily I read it, because it said out of stock with no eta. I called and was told they had no idea when they would get them in so I canceled. Jegs said although they had me cc# they don't charge until item ships.
I called Summit, they had 8 in stock, same price and I got it in 2 days, free shipping.
The point is charging a credit card months before shipping isn't the way to do business.
For any reason something isn't available that should be told upfront.
Hopefully anyone paying and not receiving anything gets their money back.
Tonight I was in process of ordering from a highly rated 4.8 star dealer when I thought of checking them with their local Better Business Bureau website. They had numerous complaints, all 1 star...not one good review and an F rating!
The silver lining is anything ordered it pays to check as best you can, listen to your gut and pay attention to any red flags.

When a supplier is paid 100% up front the buyer forfeits all leverage if there is any kind of problem/disagreement. All solutions are then determined by the integrity of the company.

Guess I never really thought about what that limit would be. I might call and find out what that limit is for my CC.

Each card network and issuing bank sets its own time limits for filing a chargeback, but U.S. law sets a minimum time limit of 60 days. Most banks give cardholders 120 days to dispute a charge.

Another benefit to purchase using credit cards...

Credit card provided another avenue for recourse.

How many (of you) have actually lost money to this comany's demise? Not me, but it's been an interesting thread...

This thread would have only 30 posts if Ted came across as a likeable guy.

Been reading this from the start...it reads more like a soap opera than thankfully most TBN threads!

- Can't stand by quiet any longer -

Some on this thread have set some pretty high standards for the EA boyz...as if Jeff Bezos is a saint!

Personally, I don't know the morality or like-ability of the CEO for most companies I order from, and really don't care to - unless they are actively promoting agendas contrary to historical, generally accepted societal norms.

Interesting that very few companies are as transparent nor publish product use videos like EA, with their past weekly production updates and unscripted real-life product demos.

But what I find most interesting is what is missing from this open discussion.

Other than complaints about payment upon order, I don't recall reading in this thread, nor any other TBN thread, mention of any EA equipment failure or owner dissatisfaction with EA products.

Just try finding a piece of used EA equipment on Marketplace or Craigslist. They are very scarce.

Though I had an old generic back blade, I actively looked for over 6 months before I found any used EA Back Blade listed on Marketplace - by a gentleman with terminal cancer settling his estate early.

Soil engagement, snow plowing, landscaping - that used 8' EA BB on a 60 hp tractor has accomplished everything asked of it.

And my first-hand experience with "pay upfront new" -
The 60 inch EA grapple is by far my favorite implement...worth the wait and worth way more than (5) more of me on the ground.

It's gotten more than 300 hours of use over the last three years clearing 35 acres:
- knocking down trees
- clearing slash
- pulling brush
- grubbing roots

Its been generally 'abused and put away wet', and other than some worn paint, it's looks and operates like Day One - I wish I was fairing so well...

Unfortunately, this doesn't help anyone who just ordered, but if proactive, suspect they can recover their funds.

I'm absolutely not in denial, but still holding hope that EA can come back strong.

I still have more to order from them - because used EA equipment is just so hard to find!
