Starting question on 30HP Mitsibishi Diesel

My tractor has a 30 HP four cylinder Mitsubishi motor with 50 hours on it. The last two times I started it, it started fine but maybe on only 3 cylinders. After maybe 5-10 seconds it smooths out fine and runs great. I plan on talking to the dealer about this but would like to get an idea what might cause this. It is under warranty, this is my first diesel and just want to have some knowledge about what might be going on before I talk to him.

Does it have individual glow plugs for each cylinder? If so, maybe one is bad.

Sounds like a partially clogged injector...suggest you start it, warm it up, then run the livin' heck out of it for an hour or two. This will not hurt a diesel and sometimes will "flush" the system out. BobG in VA

Any fuel leaks at the injector lines.. if one o fthem is becoming air-logged.. it will take a few secs to purge upon starting.. just like bleeding.. etc..
