I have a 2003 New Holland TC33D. Recently the ignition switch stopped automatically returning itself to the run position after the engine cranked. So, I manually returned the switch from the crank position to the run position after the engine cranked a few times and was able to crank the engine a few times in this way...then the switch stopped working altogether and the starter would not respond when I turned the switch to the crank position. So, I ordered a new ignition switch and installed it; however, now when I turn the switch to start position nothing happens....absolutely nothing. When I turn the ignition switch to the crank position I get the same response as you get when you try to crank the tractor and it is not in neutral or the PTO lever is not in the disengaged position or when you are not sitting in the seat when you try to crank the tractor. However, the gear selector IS in neutral, the PTO IS in the disengaged position and I AM sitting in the seat when I try to crank the tractor. The lights come on on the instrument panel when the switch is turned on except for the glow plug light. Also, the hazard lights, tail lights and signal lights will not work; however, when the hazard light switch is turned on, the hazard light indicator lights on the instrument panel flash even though the hazard lights are not flashing. Also, when I turn on the ignition switch and try to activate either turn signal, the turn signal lights do not work, but the turn signal indicator light on the instrument panel flashes for the side that is being signaled while the signal indicator light on the opposite side of the instrument panel lights up, but does not flash. None of this was happening before the old ignition switch malfunctioned and I replaced it with the new ignition switch. The tractor was cranking and operating fine. The new ignition switch is the same part number as the old one I took off of the tractor. All the fuses are good.
