The "stairs" "no stairs" debate always interests me. Everyone's definition is slightly different.
My definition is nothing higher than a thin door sill.
For many years we thought about adding a second story to our house. But never did. Now that we are in our late 70's we appreciate our less than 3" sill to get into house from back door.

Update;
The floor is going on in the house and the garage floor is poured and being finished. The framer said he'll have all the outside walls done this week, then we have to wait for the trusses.
As you can see, there is still smoke in the air from all the fires in the western states.

Looking good, pretty area. When my house was built in 03 we were amazed how fast it went when everything was in place. Foundation poured in August, once it was done the house was up in 4 days. Roofed a couple days later then sided. We moved in the first week of December, the inside was time consuming with lots of sweat equity. We originally planned to build the year before but red tape made us wait until after that winter.
BTW, I love having a full basement and radiant heat.

Get under there and string up a slow drip tube that you can hook up to later with a 1 gallon pump up sprayer to distribute mixed up pesticides.
