Starting hay season 2017

Very nice. That is a big load for that little tractor.

Yes we go very very slow in low range to get to the house. Its about 1/4 mile to the barn. You cant see it, but I keep the landing pads on the trailer about 3 inches off the ground while moving, so if there is an issue it sits down. So far moving it has been very stable. With three layers there is 108 bales on the trailer. Weight of the load is roughly 5500 lbs. 3pt picks it up easily. Believe it or not the tractor breaks will stop this load, as well as just backing off on the go peddle. Its on tough little beast.

That seems like a lot of tongue weight for that tractor but it sounds like you got it worked out. using the tractor versus a truck makes it a lot easier.

You guys out west are fortunate to be able to stack on concrete. Back here there is too much moisture in the winter and the condensation gets you with molding the bottom.

Ever here we get ground moisture. I use wooden palletts

Looks like we're going to hit our first 100 degree day. Fields look terrible. Going on 20+ days since first cutting and I doubt that I'll be getting very much more hay than before.
