start hiccup

got 07 ck25 a little over 1000 hrs went to start today ,would start then stall then start then stall then run fine .what does this sound like . when it stalled it almost seemed like the key was shut off . injection pump ??

Could be early stages of fuel gell.

Did you try cycling the pre - heaters twice ? How cold was it ?

Sounds like fuel delivery problem, with possible "gelling like Magellan" You might take the fuel filter apart and check/clean the element in some kerosene. Look for a waxy buildup in the filter. Treat the fuel. and try again.

Got a dk55 that did the same thing it was a bad key switch

was warm out so i don't think fuel gel, it even did it after I ran it for awhile. will have to try it again and see if it does it again

My CK30hst did that when it was about 50'F so I knew it wasn't the fuel jelling. For me it was the ignition switch. I put in a new one and no problems. The switches are know to have the factory lube on the contacts get hard and get some dirt in them. Other members have cleaned theirs with good results. Some just use fluid film, WD-40, or something similar. You could try electric motor cleaner or brake clean which will clean and dry up followed by some type of lubricant. There's always the possibility that it could be the injection pump but I'd clean and lubricate the switch first. Much cheaper and may fix the problem.
