Ion engines cannot lift a launch vehicle out of earth's gravity well: the thrust is too low. They would be very suitable for a transfer of crew while in orbit, then go from there.

Looks like launch is coming sooner rather than later.

They had Starship unstacked and back to the hangar within a couple of hours. Booster will be next. Depending on what they find, they may launch on Wednesday, but I wouldn't bet on it.
This would take NASA a minimum six months, or more.

Hmmm...not getting the failures on Starship. Maybe to much forces are shaking somethings apart as it is going up. Too bad. Keep trying.

I wonder who's backyard it will end up in this time. Last time the debris landed on the Turks and Caicos Island where my cousin went on vacation.
