SQ480 shear pin didn't shear?

   / SQ480 shear pin didn't shear? #21
I get extra shear bolts and nuts. I find a spot in the framework to drill holes to keep the extra shear bolts in. Then I have a stock of 3-4 with the brush hog no matter where I go.

To leave the bolts loose will lower the torque needed to shear! Another way to lower the shear torque needed is to cut a groove into them!

Thanks for the tip on leaving it loose. I don't think notching will be necessary. I believe going from the #5 to #2 will make quite a difference already.
