Spring Sales Push

Indication how the new tractor market is right now can be measured by these 3 flyers I received this week:

Mahindra - 84 months zero percent
John Deere - a whole bunch of offers inside including long term zero percent, discounts, or combinations
Kubota - $5,000 off on a tractor they do not yet sell in North America yet I need to buy before June 30, plus loyalty discounts on all other tractors

The offers aren't really anything new - the highest offer in the list is $16,000 off or $11,000 off plus 0% for 60 months if I trade my Kubota M135GX for a John Deere 6130R which is $2,000 more than their best offer last year.

If only all of my grain from last year's harvest wasn't still in the bin due to low prices.

The seasons are reversed but the 'mantra' is the same... down here we're into the Autumn Field Day (agricultural/end-of-harvest shows) season and the 'deals' are flying!

I realize this is primarily a compact forum. Everything in AG, however, is hurting. Cattle down about 30% from last year, grain starting to move up a little but still 40% less than 2014. Dairy - down from $24/hwt in 2014 to less than $14/hwt now. The large numbers in the fliers I get are for a all and medium Ag tractors and hay equipment. CSCUT and CUT, only enough discount to get you to the dealer if you already intended to buy.

Yes, Walnuts have dropped like half from two years ago also. And Almonds are down some as well, but not as bad as Walnuts. B.
