Heart goes out to you folks in the tornado area, flooding & fire areas. 2 Bad you could not be here for a little while.

In my part of the world, spring has sprung and its more like summer. We had one last freeze & 3 day cold snap after some 80. 90 & 100+ days. From here on out it will just get warmer & hotter as the days go by.

One sure sign is the White Wing Doves are back. They go south in the winter. Even though we had a snow, ( some of you folks would not even call it a big frost, ) it was a mild winter, My "Inca Doves" stayed all winter. Normally they also go south. Inca's, white wings, morning & turtle all the doves are here. Think some of the doves have had babies, real hard to tell as they don't come out of the nest until almost as big as parents.

Quail should be bringing in there babies most any day now. Lots of fun to watch. One quail couple had 3 sets a couple of years ago. The whole family would show up, from tiny thumb nails, a little bigger and some almost as big as the parents.

Oriole's have been back for about 3 weeks, Eastern Cardinals have shown up and a small greenish finch is here now.

Haven't seen any snakes yet, but small lizards are all over the place.

My 'Purple Bell" cactus has flowered. Purple Leaf Plumb is setting buds. What I though was some kind of a liquor plant, now has yellow flowers. Pansies or daisies??

Thanks for the pictures. I like Arizona a lot in the Spring and winter.

Not so much in the summer.

:D Sure is true, some years the snow birds take over.:D

This year for the first time in long time my big Pala Verde has bloomed out. Last year I started giving it water.

Purple Trumpet cactus made some real pretty flowers. But like all desert plants they come and go in a hurry.

The lumpy stick looking thing is a Night Blooming Cirrus. It will bloom around 9PM mid June, by daylight the flower has closed up. One this size will have a tuber root about the size of a basket ball.

White wing doves, Orioles and eastern cardinals are back.

First time ever my plum tree made a plum.:D

We had one day of spring here yesterday, but it's back to the same cold wet stuff, and will be for at least another few days, here in the soggy PNW.
