splitter detent valve

The detent valve on my Huskee splitter does not release at the end of the return stroke after the unit is warm or the weather is hot. Seems to work fine in cold weather or before the unit warms up. How do you adjust or repair this?

You might have to remove the spool and clean out the groove the detent ball sits in.

You might also can rotate the spool 180 and reconnect the lever.
