Re: Spencer\'s On The Highways & Byways!

fivestring, I am already paranoid that my neighbor is evesdropping on me. If I wore a TBN shirt he would no doubt come here and read all of my messages and then even know more about me. Come to think of it, maybe he already does.

Re: Spencer\'s On The Highways & Byways!

Murph, the extra 20 minutes or so on my trip was well worth stopping by to see you. I really enjoyed our conversation and tour of your shop. I'm going to attach a picture with this message but I don't want anybody to get the wrong idea. No, Murph didn't ask me to be his valentine. He gave me that present to give to my beautiful three year old daughter. The sweatshirt is for me though. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: Spencer\'s On The Highways & Byways!

It turns out that me and Murph do work for the same company. I am an installer for an equipment manufacturer out of Michigan and Murph's company is an authorized service agent for that same company. I was trying to describe the piece of equipment that I was installing in Minnesota to both Murph and Bob_In_MN. I have attached a picture of the unit to this message. It has a steam table, steam cabinet, refrigerated base, refrigerated produce bins, steamers, heat lamp, and an exhaust hood. It weighs in at about 2,000 pounds as you see it here. On this job the unit was already in place and I just did some minor assembly and then did a thorough start-up and training session. Other jobs I have to meet the freight company, unload the equipment, disassemble the equipment, bring it in the building, re-assemble it, and then do the install and start-up.

Re: Spencer\'s On The Highways & Byways!

I-35 and exit 85 is the MacTruck stop I believe. That is 4
miles from where I lived in Lakeville.
Oh well, I will wait until you can come to Montana. Now if there becomes a mini group meeting set up in the Minneapolis area, I will fly in and meet with everyone.
I'm going to start writing down my questions now so that I don't forget. Have my Tshirt and hat and ready to travel.

Re: Spencer\'s On The Highways & Byways!

Spencer,

It was good talking to you on the phone. Don't worry about more than a days notice. As I've said before, I have clients all over the Twin Cities so 90% of the time, I can get to the area in which you are working. We'll make it happen next time.

Bob Ancar (rancar) lives like an hour north of Paul and I hope to meet up with him too someday.

Hi Spence,

Sorry we missed each other last fall. I knew you were heading to a job in Massachusetts and traveling I-90 through Albany. Shortly thereafter was when I met Garry up in Lake George, NY for breakfast. If you're out this way again in the near future, do drop me a PM with some forewarning you'll be heading this way and we'll do the best we can to get together. Would love to show you my place and the projects I've been working on.

...Bob

Re: Spencer\'s On The Highways & Byways!

Let me know when you get down to Florida. One difference; if you're coming through late, I'm a bit of a nightowl (It's 4:00 am as I type this). Until I get moved to the new place, I'm only a couple of minutes off I-95. That goes for anyone traveling through Florida -- I'm about 2 hours South of Orlando and 2 hours North of Fort Lauderdale, so anyone traveling towards Miami/Fort Lauderdale has to pass right by.
