Spence,

I’m getting close to ordering the same hydraulic top link you have,

<A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.tractorbynet.com/cgi-bin/compact/showflat.pl?Cat=&Board=implement&Number=125257&page=6&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=0&fpart=>http://www.tractorbynet.com/cgi-bin/compact/showflat.pl?Cat=&Board=implement&Number=125257&page=6&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=0&fpart=</A>

But, first I thought I’d check and see if you’re still happy with yours?

What are your hose lengths? You said you had to go to a “local shop here to get the male couplers and the hoses made up” - what do I need to look for in the yellow pages to find such a shop? Doesn’t TSC or some other tractor supply places sell what is needed?

The main reason I’m getting one is for my rear scoop and pallet mover, but I can see it coming in handy on all my implements. It certainly is more expensive than I thought though, $270 plus $20.28 to ship plus $32 for hoses and fittings = $322.28! Do you have regrets or do you feel it was worth it?

How long did it take to get it from the day you ordered it?

Thanks,

Have another request from Spencer. I would like to add rear remote kit to my NH 1320. My dealer seemed a little vague with his info, said he thought he could get one for about $325. Would you possible have a NH Part Number that you could share and let me check from that angle to see if it would fit my 1320. Thank You for your assistance.

Mosey,
I'm thrilled with the hydraulic toplink, I would recommend it to you without reservation. The only problem with it is that its diameter is so much larger than the factory toplink that there is no way to use the nice hook New Holland supplies to hold the toplink while it is not in use. I just take it off when I am not using it, its probably better that way anyway.

I got my hoses from a company called West Michigan Rubber Supply. They have every kind of bulk hose you could want along with all the fittings you could possible need. They make them up right there while you wait and the cost is quite reasonable. I would look in the yellow pages under 'Rubber Products', thats where WMRS is listed.

Sorry to you and MikePa but I still have not measured them yet. The tractor is right in front of the garage so I should be able to do it tomorrow.

The guy I dealt with at Gearmore was great. I gave him my email address and asked him if he could send me the UPS tracking number when the toplink shipped. I bought it on a tuesday I believe and I got it that friday. It came from California so I didn't see much updated information on the UPS website because it came on the same slow moving truck most of the way across the midwest.

It works so nice I can't believe they don't make these things standard equipment. It's money well spent.

Leemac,
I will look that information up for you tomorrow. It's late and opening my metal file cabinet might wake up my beautiful daughter.

Thanks Spence, Certainly nothing urgent.

Danny, I don't know about the yellow pages, but any tractor dealer should be able to tell you where to get the hoses made up in whatever sizes you need (if they don't do it themselves). My tractor dealer, a local NAPA auto parts store, the Farmers Co-op, and a little independent auto parts store in my area all have the hoses and fittings and make them to your specifications in just a few minutes.

Leemac,
I have attached a scan of my receipt for the remote kit. The other two items on the receipt were for adding a work light so all you need is the top item.

Spencer, I had the same problem. I stretched the hook open a little wider and it helped, but would still bounce loose occasionaly. I then found a tiny bungee cord, not much bigger than a rubber band except it has hooks, and it works perfect. Small enough to stick in the glove box or even in my pocket when using the toplink.

Maybe someday I'll try to make a hook that fits, but this works pretty well now.

Spence, Thanks a lot. I guess the sooner I get it ordered the more use I can get from it for the money I'll be spending!
