Speedex Tractor Question

Pretty sure I am going to purchase a Speedex S14-year unknown - maybe 1959/1960? & only own Cubs & wanted to know how easy/hard it is to obtain parts to restore these tractors? I was told it has a 8HP Briggs & Stratton engine (pull start) & researched & found that they only had 5 & 3/4 or 6 HP so I am not sure about the engine. I know the air filter for the engine is missing & the belt is too big? Causing it to be a bit slow. Runs okay. Also, what might be a reasonable price to pay for a tractor of this type? Thanks!

Don't know about that old S14. I bought a 1974 Bolens G14 garden tractor (14 hp Tecumseh engine) with hydraulic lift on the mower deck and rototiller last July for $600. Considering the age and engine size of that S14, I wouldn't pay more than $200 for that thing.

The company went out of business in 2000, so parts are gonna be scrounged from hither and yonder. Here is a good site for info:

There are collector groups out there and you can hook up with them via the internet. Best of luck to you. Oh and as what is a good price? Depends totally on condition. Could be worth anywhere from $100 to $500.

I don't know much about Speedex, but I saw this recently

I used to drive past it before I moved. I've never seen it run, but it looks like it's in good condition.
