what can I do?

At max RPM/throttle your speed is fixed by the governor and gear train. Not much you can do, even bigger engine has no effect unless it has higher RPM capability. I am sure someone knows how to mess with the governor and gain a little. Guys make racers of those type machines.

Do you get full travel out of you forward pedal? If not there is some adjustment either at the pedal or where the rod heads off the pedal shaft.

You'll have to tell us more. Is it performing the way it should? Most LTs and GTs only travel 5 or 6 MPH at a maximum. They're for mowing and other similar uses, not much more. If it has slowed down recently, you may have a drive train or transmission issue.

And yea....Rising RPM's isn't the way to increase speed, if you're still going to use it to mow. Changing pulleys or tire size would be only option.

The forward and backward speeds are a function of the pedal adjustments. The linkage can be adjusted to decrease the reverse speed and increase the forward speed. I adjusted my 3235 for the slowest reverse speed I could tolerate which gave me higher forward speed. I also made a modification to the reverse pedal to give it a little more travel.
